iDEX · DISC 7 winner

One record, induction to release.

In short

The armed forces run on their people, and a career spans decades of postings, courses, promotions and entitlements that must reconcile at every step. Varuni Systems won an iDEX DISC 7 challenge for a manpower induction-to-release management system: the personnel lifecycle of a service member held as one authoritative record, on the force's own network.

How we do it

The technical approach.

Personnel data is sensitive by nature — so this is built to stay inside the perimeter.

IND

Induction to release

The whole service lifecycle in one system — induction, postings, courses, promotions, leave and entitlements through to release — rather than a stack of disconnected registers.

REC

Authoritative record

A single, reconciled personnel record each downstream process reads from, so a posting or a promotion updates one place, not many.

ROL

Role-based access

Strict role-based access across the chain, because personnel data is exactly the kind that must be seen only by those entitled to.

RPT

Strength & reporting

Manpower strength, postings and entitlement reporting generated from the record, not compiled by hand.

Frequently asked

Straight answers.

Do you build HR or manpower systems for defence forces?

Yes — a manpower induction-to-release management system for the armed forces is one of our five iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) DISC 7 challenge wins. It manages a service member's whole personnel lifecycle, from induction to release, in one record.

Where does the personnel data live?

On the force's own infrastructure, with role-based access throughout. Personnel data is sensitive by nature, so the system is built to run inside the perimeter with nothing leaving it.

Why Varuni

Why work with us on this.

Full stack, one team

Hardware, firmware, DSP, software and geospatial under one roof in India — so a system crosses from transducer to screen without an integration seam for anyone to point fingers across.

Built for a working prototype, fast

Engagements start with a scoped prototype in weeks, not a multi-year programme — the fastest way for an overseas buyer to judge the capability is to see it run against their own problem.

Sovereign and on-premise by default

Everything runs on the client's own hardware and network, air-gapped where required, with no mandatory cloud and no data leaving the perimeter. Source and IP terms are agreed per engagement.
