CAP / RF

At sea, height is range.

In short

A radio's reach over water is set by antenna height — the taller the antenna, the further the line-of-sight horizon it can see. Varuni Systems builds waterproof, self-deploying telescopic radio masts: masts that raise radio and communications antennas above the sea surface on command, hold them there, and retract when they are not needed — sealed to survive the water they work over.

How we do it

The technical approach.

Three things have to be true at once: it goes up by itself, it comes back compact, and the sea never gets in.

SDP

Self-deploying

The mast raises and lowers itself on command — one control, mast up — with no manual rigging or crew on the mast to put the antennas where they need to be.

EXT

Telescopic

It extends its antennas high for range and collapses to a compact stowed length, so the reach is there when needed and out of the way when it is not.

WTR

Waterproof

Sealed against seawater and spray so the mechanism and the feed survive the sea surface they operate over — the difference between a bench mast and a sea-going one.

HGT

Height for range

Line-of-sight range over water grows with antenna height; the mast trades a few metres of structure for a materially further radio horizon.

Frequently asked

Straight answers.

What are the telescopic radio masts for?

They raise radio and communications antennas above the sea surface to extend line-of-sight range, then retract. Radio reach over water depends on antenna height, so a taller mast reaches a further horizon.

Are the masts self-deploying?

Yes. The mast raises and lowers itself on command without manual rigging — the antennas go up and come back down on a control input, not by crew working the mast.

Are they waterproof?

Yes. They are sealed against seawater and spray so the telescoping mechanism and the antenna feed keep working in the marine environment they are built for.

Why Varuni

Why work with us on this.

Full stack, one team

Hardware, firmware, DSP, software and geospatial under one roof in India — so a system crosses from transducer to screen without an integration seam for anyone to point fingers across.

Built for a working prototype, fast

Engagements start with a scoped prototype in weeks, not a multi-year programme — the fastest way for an overseas buyer to judge the capability is to see it run against their own problem.

Sovereign and on-premise by default

Everything runs on the client's own hardware and network, air-gapped where required, with no mandatory cloud and no data leaving the perimeter. Source and IP terms are agreed per engagement.
