FTTH Network GIS

Fibre-to-the-home planning & network records

Overview

The fibre network as a map, not a spreadsheet.

A fibre-to-the-home rollout is a geospatial problem wearing a telecom badge: every duct, cable, splitter and drop is a thing at a place, and the network only stays maintainable if the plan and the as-built agree. We build the GIS that holds it - route and splice planning from OLT to ONT, the spatial inventory of what was actually laid, and one map that planning, construction and the NOC all work from - on the same open-source geospatial core as our defence and smart-city work.

What it does

Inside the system.

PLN

Route & splice planning

Plan feeder and distribution routes, splitter locations and splice schemes from OLT to ONT on real base-map and cadastre data.

INV

As-built network inventory

Ducts, cables, splitters, closures and drops as queryable spatial records - the network that exists, not the one that was drawn.

HOM

Homes-passed & connections

Track homes passed, homes connected and service status against the physical network, so coverage claims are grounded in the plant.

FLD

Field & NOC workflows

The map field crews build from and the NOC troubleshoots from - a fault traced back to the span and the splice it sits on.

OSS

Open-source, no lock-in

PostGIS, GeoServer and web mapping throughout - the operator owns the stack and the data, with no per-seat GIS licence.

Deployment

Where it runs.

On the operator's own infrastructure, on-premise or in a private cloud. Built on the same open-source geospatial core as our domain-awareness and smart-city systems.
